RJ Caswell
RJ, co-founder of Weaving Families Adoption Ministry, spent eight years as a professional school counselor at schools in Chattanooga, TN and Charlotte, NC. Most recently he served as the Director of Spiritual Life at Charlotte Christian School. He received his B.A. in Religion from Wofford College in 1996 and his M.Ed. in Counseling from The Citadel in 2000. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NC and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). RJ also serves as a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteer and is a member of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team for disaster crisis counseling.
He married his best friend and co-founder of Weaving Families, Rebecca, in 1998 and they adopted their first child, a son, from Guatemala in 2004. Soon after, they welcomed their precious daughter, also born in Guatemala, to their family.
Rebecca Caswell
Rebecca received her B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from Converse College in 1998. She spent four years in the classroom as an early childhood education teacher in a range of settings including children with severe and profound disabilities to an Autism inclusion classroom. Rebecca also worked for the State of Tennessee as a home-based early interventionist for two years and as the Interim Director of Disability Services at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Additionally, she served on the board of directors for two different child development centers while in Chattanooga. She is currently a stay-at-home mother to two beautiful children.
