Why we are seeking financial support
Weaving Families is a 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit ministry established to provide counseling, education and comfort to families on the lifelong journey of adoption.
Fees associated with adoptions can range from $0 to $40,000 + depending on the type of adoption the family chooses to pursue. The average adoption costs $15,000 out of pocket. Families may be able to finance this on their own or they may seek grants, plan creative fundraisers or take out a loan. Regardless, most families are financially burdened throughout the adoption process.
We do not want finances to be a barrier to seeking emotional or educational support because of associated costs. We want families regardless of financial means to be able to receive the support so needed througout this journey.
